- Jacksonville uses a combination of radar vector and RNAV SIDs for IFR departures.
- All RNAV capable turbojets must be put on an RNAV SID
- vTDLS is preferred under all circumstances

¶ Ground Control
¶ General Info & Responsibilities
- Ground Control is responsible for all taxiways east of runway 18L/36R and west of 17R/35L, as well as taxiways west of runway 18R/36L (west ramp).
- Ground Control West is responsible for the west ramp and all taxiways west of the bridges on taxiways J, E, and F. Ground Control East is responsible for taxiways east of the bridges on taxiways J, E, and F.
- Ensure pilots have the current ATIS prior to contacting Local Control.
- Advise local control of all intersection departures.

- Local Control owns the inner ring of the C SFC-4000
¶ Runway Selection
- East operations is the calm wind configuration when the winds are less then 5 knots
- More than 5, it is the towers discretion to choose the runways correspondant to the winds

¶ Line Up and Wait
LUAW is authorized at JAX with the following caveats:
- LUAW shall not be authorized unless airport conditions are VMC
- LUAW shall not be authorized between sunset and sunrise
- When LUAW is used between runway 26/32, local shall inform aircraft of traffic on the converging runway
¶ Missed Approach Procedures
- All aircraft shall be given 3,000 runway heading

- Assign IFR aircraft which will enter West of Gainsville at an even altitude
- Assign IFR aircraft entering North, Arrival, or Final an odd altitutde
- Protect the published departure corridor for Jacksonville International
¶ CRG Arrivals
- Pointout all CRG rwy 14 arrivals to JAX LC.
¶ SGJ Shelf & Arrivals
- SGJ Shelf can be requested from DAB for SGJ arrivals when SGJ is north.
¶ General Procedures
- Assign IFR aircraft which will enter West of Gainsville at an even altitude
